Time saver in the workflow

I recommend the system highly

Dicom2usb has been deployed at the Nuclear Medicin department since 2011. It has become an invaluable tool for exporting PET/CT and SPECT data for research and educational activities.

The system is very simple to use and therefor saves time compared to other options available.

What I like most is the use of the PACS interface, without need to learn or switch to another software. You just select examinations from the PACS client and send it to the Dicom2usb just as with any other DICOM destination. With Dicom2usb you end up with perfect anonymized or pseudonymized images and for PET data you even preserves SUV information.

On some occasions specific corrective actions were performed such as removing DICOM fields that were not correctly anonymized on other systems. I am impressed by the flexibility of the system’s expert mode.

Students, Doctoral Students, and Post Docs that perform research at our department handles the export from the PACS systems via Dicom2usb by them selves and are thus not depending on our other resources.

I recommend the system highly and I would really like to have one on my own desk.

I am a Postdoc working within the field of neuroscience and brain imaging. I have been using Dicom2usb since June 2013 with the purpose to access and transport large quantities of PET and MRI data between the hospital PACS and the site for data analysis. The large sample size (N=180) of the particular project I am working with calls for time-efficient retrieval of data, which was successfully fulfilled by the Dicom2usb unit.
